And in the beginning...

...there was a post! I am not sure what I hope to accomplish with this blog but I have been procrastinating for a year and thought it was time to get the lead out. My primary reason for doing this is to communicate with the people in my life on a more regular basis. I am lousy at writing chatty emails, posting things on FB, participating in chats online, and making telephone calls. So the idea behind this venture is to write about stuff that catches my fancy or that I am mulling over; perhaps post links, videos, music, etc., that interest me and hopefully will engage the reader; put forth my opinions on various and sundry topics; wax poetic or not (not that I ever have before); share favourite quotations; occasionally indulge in a rant; and generally let you know that I am still alive and kicking in one of the most fascinating cities on earth.
